Whale shark (Rhincodon typus)

Whale shark, Rhincodon typus; Tofo, Mozambique; I photographed this whale shark as it swam along a beach behind the breakers above a sandy sea floor. The shark offered an interesting opportunity for a photograph as it gulped plankton at the surface, looking at me inquisitively; Nikon D300, 10.5mm lens, F6.3, 1/250th, DS160 strobe (x2)
